This international maker has received numerous awards, thanks to his extensive career as a craftsman in the world of bowed string instruments.

Mr. Scott Cao is a Chinese luthier, now based in the USA, who has gradually grown as a maker, never losing the touch of his skilled hands.

As a brand, Scott Cao manufactures advanced student and professional range instruments.

The professional range is made by Scott Cao himself from his workshop in the USA, and the advanced student range is built by his students under his guidance and patterns.

In Spain, we are fortunate to receive unique models from this maker, chosen and designed to meet the demands of the national market.

The models that arrive in Spain are the Scott Cao Moderato and the Scott Cao Vivace.



The Scott Cao Moderato Violin uses European woods, also with medium flame (maple + spruce).

Ebony fingerboard and Indian rosewood fittings, four fine tuners on the tailpiece.

Its finish is antique style, oil varnished.



Finally, the Scott Cao Vivace Violin also uses European woods, but in this case, the maple back is a single piece. In addition, the ribs and neck are made of European maple.

It is a copy of an antique instrument, respecting the characteristics and measurements of yesteryear.

It incorporates an Aubert bridge and Thomastik Dominant strings.
