DESCRIPTION
  • This new trumpet model was created thanks to close collaboration with Prof. Jack Burt (Professor of Trumpet at the School of Performing Arts at the University of Maine, USA).

The goal was to create a trumpet that met the American style: clear, focused, and with the necessary flexibility.
Our 1961 model leaves nothing to be desired. It also impresses with its bright, warm, and highly projecting sound.

  • Prof. Jack Burt about the instrument:
I had the pleasure of working with Schagerl's resident creative genius, Robert Schagerl, during the design of the "1961" models. Robert is the designer of their rotary lines, as well as the Ganschhorn, KillerQueen, Ravenii, Spider, and the entire line of James Morrison instruments. A true genius… I spent days playing various combinations. While I gave my own opinion, the most important thing is that Robert listened with his own ears. He knew what he was looking for.

The result is a resounding success! The 1961s are "robust, solid, and perfect" American-style trumpets, "direct in the middle register": clear, rich, focused, and bright. Even more: you can feel the flexibility and response, with a free and easy airflow, with just the right amount of resistance. It's a pleasure to play them.
