This is due to the large number of peoples who have inhabited it (Romans, Celts, Iberians, Basques, Arabs…) and the legacy they have left behind. Of course, musical culture is no exception. Traditional Spanish music has been shaped by the different customs and traditions of these peoples, which have often spread with the help of traditional musical instruments.

Thus, virtually all musical instruments in the various categories or musical families we know today find their origin in traditional instruments typical of traditional Spanish music.

Fortunately, traditional instruments have endured over time and have been preserved, so today they are still used and commercialized, and we can enjoy the authenticity and tradition that characterize them and reflect the spirit of Spanish folklore.
