These versatile modular microphones can be used with confidence in a wide variety of professional microphone applications. They feature direct-coupled balanced outputs, which provide clean signals with high signal levels, and are completely free of the distortion associated with conventional transformer-coupled outputs. Their fast transient response contributes to the clear and faithful reproduction of the most difficult-to-capture instruments.

The microphone fully complies with RoHS regulations - it is free of all substances specified in the EU directive on the reduction of hazardous substances (RoHS).

Each microphone consists of two sub-modules: an AT4900b-48 body and the corresponding head equipped with a capsule (AT4049b-EL omnidirectional, AT4051b-EL cardioid, and AT4053b-EL hypercardioid). All these capsule-equipped heads are interchangeable and available independently.
