Interior head made of gummy thermoplastic, medium sound, very general, exceptional throughout the marimba's range. More direct attack due to greater tension in its yarn. The L means it has a lighter weight because it has a smaller head than the N series.

The wooden handle in this case is made of maple treated with a chemical substance that makes it more flexible (it's what gives it the brown color). This offers exceptional comfort and feel when striking, and reduces the rigidity of a normal wooden handle.
