Rubber core, medium-soft sound, also quite round, with a more direct attack due to the higher tension in its yarn. The L signifies a lighter weight because it has a smaller head than the N series.

The wooden handle in this case is made of maple treated with a chemical that makes it more flexible (this is what gives it the brown color). This offers exceptional comfort and feel when striking, and reduces the stiffness felt with a normal wooden handle.
