Hard thermoplastic core, hard sound but not aggressive, exceptional respect for the instrument's lamellae. More direct attack due to increased tension in the yarn. The "L" in the reference means it has a lighter weight, made with a smaller head than the "N" series.

In this case, the wooden handle is made of maple treated with a chemical that makes it more flexible (this is what gives it its brown color). This offers exceptional comfort and feel when striking, and reduces the stiffness felt with a normal wooden handle.
